Need to Automate Translations for Your App?
Translation Profiles make it easy to automate every step of your app’s translation request process. They bundle automated translation settings in a convenient package that can be used over and over – on any type of content, making app translation more automatic, painless, and instantaneous.
What is a Translation Profile?
A Translation Profile bundles a set of default translation preferences into a convenient, reusable package. This means you can set up translation preferences once and then reapply them over and over – to any kind of content.
Translation Profiles spell out
- Which languages to translate into
- Which Lingotek project to use
- Which Lingotek workflow to use
Additionally, the Lingotek workflow spells out many automatic settings:
- Which translation steps to include
- Which linguists to assign
- Which automatic notifications to send
- Which language resources (TM vaults, glossaries) to use
Additionally, a Translation Profile means a different workflow can be used on each type of content.
Professionally translate web pages; machine translate blog posts.
How it Works
Translation Profiles not only make translation quicker, they can automate the entire process. From initial request to final publication, a Translation Profile lets you quickly request translations, using your preferred default settings.
Additionally, using the Translation Profile, choose which Lingotek resources to apply and whether to automate translation requests. A Translation Profile makes website translation more automatic, painless, and instantaneous.
Match Quality to Content
When you need to automate translation quality, use a Translation Profile to increase or decrease the complexity of the translation workflow.
Use a higher quality workflow for more important content and lower quality workflow for lower value content. For example, you may wish to machine translate customer comments while professionally translating menu items and web pages.
Using the Translation Profile, apply different workflows for different types of content.
- Add extra review steps for content with complicated layouts
- Add extra review steps for content that is highly technical or has legal implications
- Use a shorter workflow for lower priority content – such as how to guides and product descriptions.
- Use machine translation only when translating content strictly for SEO purposes (e.g. blogs, etc.)
Automate
