If you do not have an existing glossary, you can create one in Excel and upload it to Lingotek.
To create a glossary to upload into Lingotek's Platform, Open a blank Excel spreadsheet (.xls; .xlsx will error) and enter the following:
Column Headers

Use either the full locale code or the two letter language code.
Example: en-US or EN

Optional metadata columns
- These display in the Glossary popup without needing to expand the list to see them.
- The columns are entered starting with Column C. The order of the metadata columns doesn't matter.

Some example Column labels are listed below:
- Part of Speech
- Gender
- Classification
- Formal/Informal
- Notes
- Context
- Example in a sentence
- For each row in the spreadsheet, enter the Source text, Target text, and metadata for the terms (optional).
- For glossaries with multiple target languages, create each language as a separate tab (worksheet) in the spreadsheet. For example, tab #1 would be English to Spanish, tab #2 would be English to French, etc.
- Save the .xls file
