If you would like machine translations to be a part of your translation workflow, be sure to configure the Machine Translate step.
Important
The Machine Translate phase will not work unless an MT Engine is selected.
To designate which machine translation engine to use during the Machine Translate phase,
Open a workflow. (Go to Project Resources in the side bar, click Workflows and select the desired workflow).
Select the Machine Translate icon from the Workflow preview.
-
Click the Configuration tab.
From the open Configuration page, scroll to the Rules section.
Click the Edit icon next to the “When phase starts...” rule.
-
Under “Take these actions,” scroll to select machine translate and then select an MT engine.
By default, Allow MT engine to place format tags, is selected. It is highly recommended that you keep this selected. The MT engines that can apply format tags are Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, and GeoFluent.
Save your work. Any document using this workflow will now utilize the MT Engine(s) you selected.
MT Tips
To change the MT engine used in an active project, you will want to update its workflow. First, edit the workflow. Then reapply it to the project.
The system will only machine translate segments that don’t already contain translations.
